Dr. Silas Williams, board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist at MIVA Medical

Dr. Williams is a board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist and our Director of Women’s Health. He strives to spread awareness of conditions such as uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion syndrome, and how nonsurgical, minimally invasive techniques can be used to treat these conditions as an outpatient without the need for major surgery. He has years of experience performing uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) and gonadal vein embolization procedures for these conditions to get women back on track with their health. He prides himself on providing compassionate care for each and every one of his patients.

In addition to uterine fibroid embolization and pelvic congestion syndrome, Dr. Williams also performs:

  • Geniculate artery embolization for the treatment of arthritic knee pain
  • Hemorrhoidal artery embolization for management of internal hemorrhoids
  • Vertebral augmentation (kyphoplasty) for management of patients with thoracic and lumbar compression fractures

Personal Highlights

Dr. Williams is a native to the KC metro, and as such is a proud fan and supporter of Kansas City’s professional sports teams. A proud husband and father, Dr. Williams enjoys spending his free time at home, watching movies with his wife, and playing games with his two boys.

His other interests include learning various trade skills for house renovation and building random things from scratch. He also enjoys metal detecting with his kids, morel hunting, hiking, fly fishing/fly tying, and traveling.
