Dr. Travis Brown

Dr. Travis Brown is a board certified vascular and interventional radiologist with years of experience treating patients in the Kansas City area.  Dr. Brown has a passion for performing minimally invasive and endovascular therapies, treating patients without surgery.  Some of Dr. Browns treatment interests include:

  • Geniculate artery embolization for the treatment of arthritic knee pain
  • Prostate artery embolization to improve urinary symptoms in men with benign prostate enlargement
  • Uterine artery embolization for the treatment of uterine fibroids causing pelvic pain and dysfunctional uterine bleeding
  • Vertebral augmentation for management of patients with thoracic and lumbar compression fractures
  • Venous intervention for pelvic congestion syndrome, may thurner syndrome, and varicocele
  • Peripheral arterial intervention for treatment of claudication, critical limb ischemia, and non-healing wounds.

Personal Highlights

In addition to performing outpatient procedures at MIVA, Dr. Brown holds clinical privileges at Research Medical Center, Truman Medical Center and provides care for Veterans at the Kansas City VA Hospital. Dr. Brown has a passion for teaching and is assistant professor of medicine at the University of Missouri Kansas City and dedicates time each month for resident and medical student education.
