Dr. Travis Brown
Dr. Travis Brown is a board certified vascular and interventional radiologist and Director of Men’s Health at MIVA. Dr. Brown is an expert at performing prostate artery embolization (PAE) for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Under Dr. Browns guidance, MIVA medical was the first outpatient center in Kansas City to begin offering PAE and remains one of the most experienced centers in the region. Dr. Brown has a passion for performing minimally invasive and endovascular therapies, treating patients without surgery. In addition to
prostate artery embolization some of Dr. Browns other treatment interests include:
- Varicocele embolization for the treatment of male infertility
- Geniculate artery embolization for the treatment of arthritic knee pain
- Hemorrhoidal artery embolization for management of internal hemorrhoids
- Vertebral augmentation for management of patients with thoracic and lumbar compression fractures
- Uterine artery embolization for the treatment of fibroids and adenomyosis

Personal Highlights
In addition to performing outpatient procedures at MIVA, Dr. Brown holds clinical privileges at Research Medical Center, Truman Medical Center and provides care for Veterans at the Kansas City VA Hospital. Dr. Brown has a passion for teaching and is assistant professor of medicine at the University of Missouri Kansas City and dedicates time each month for resident and medical student education.
