There are many conditions that can be stabilized or improved by means of home remedies. For instance, medical treatment for frequent urination can often be replaced by cranberry juice that is made and drunk at home to alleviate symptoms of female patients. However, in the case of male patients, even mild symptoms of urinary tract infection can hide severe ailments such as benign prostate hyperplasia or even bladder and kidney damage. Therefore, sometimes, the treatment for frequent urination can overlap that of BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia). This is why medical help from doctors like Dr Silas Williams should always be sought when symptoms of any kind occur.

There are also many conditions that can never be treated at home without medical advice. For example, treatment for uterine fibroids cannot be replaced by quackery. Fibroids can only be removed through specific procedures such as: uterine artery embolization, radiofrequency ablation and myomectomy. The latter even preserves the healthy parts of the uterus for women to be able to have children in the future. Therefore, lifestyle changes and home remedies cannot be a viable substitution for medical treatment for uterine fibroids.

At home, exercise and a healthy diet can be used as part of the self-care system that one can provide for oneself, but it is worth mentioning that it is not always enough. All in all, most medical procedures and treatments, even though expensive, are not unjustified, and patients can greatly benefit from such therapies. Home remedies are not a match for these wonders of modern medicine because the latter will always be superior to the former.
